OVERVIEW

Q1.
What do I need to convert my current system to digital?
A.
You will need a NAOMI sensor, a PC, and working x-ray equipment. NAOMI is a retrofit system that can be used with any working x-ray equipment.

Q2.
Why is NAOMI affordable compared to other digital radiography systems?
A.
Most digital radiography sensors are made of "amorphous silicon". It is a rare material, thus, the cost to manufacture the sensor is very expensive. On the other hand, NAOMI sensor is equipped with maximum of 192 CCD sensors. The CCD sensors are highly productive, versatile, and low cost. Thus, we can provide the sensor at the affordable price to you.
Q3.
Is NAOMI a DR system or CR system?
A.
NAOMI is a Direct Digital Radiography (DR) system. It means that the sensor and PC is directly connected via USB cable. When x-ray is exposed on the sensor, the image is automatically transferred directly to PC and appears in seconds. On the other hand, Computed Radiography (CR) system requires you to expose the x-ray on an imaging plate, then place it into the imaging reader. You will have to wait for few minutes before the image is displayed on the PC screen.

Q4.
How do I install NAOMI for my x-ray table?
A.
The sensor thickness is about 6cm/2.4inch. If you have enough space under the table, you can install the system underneath. If you do not have enough space under the table, you can place NAOMI on top of the table and use the protective cover to flatten the surface.
Q5.
How long does it take for the image to appear?
A.
It takes approximately 5 to 30 seconds/image to see the image (time varies depending on the image size). After the image appears on the monitor, NAOMI is ready for another image.
Q6.
Is the NAOMI software user-friendy?
A.
Our recent survey indicates that 87% of NAOMI users found it easy to use. Also, 83% of total answered "satisfied" with NAOMI.
Q7.
Do I need each different sized sensor?
A.
14"x17" (35x43cm) will allow you to take 3 different image sizes. With a touch of a button on the software, you can take 14"x17"(35x43cm), 11"x14"(28x35cm), and 8"x10" (20x25cm) image size.
Q8.
Can I view the x-ray images on another PC such as in an examining room?
A.
Yes, you can connect the PCs with LAN connection, so that you can access the PC in x-ray room from your PC in exam room.
Q9.
How do I send images to other doctors/radiologists?
A.
You can copy the images on a CD, attach them to email, or send them to PACS server.
Q10.
Can I print the image on a film or paper?
A.
Yes, you can print on a film using a digital dry film imager, photo printer, or regular paper printer.
